The Impossible Happened!! Jul 7th

Dear Family and Friends,
This week has literally been awesome and horrible at the same time. The beginning of this week was really good until yesterday.....the impossible literally has happened. Yesterday I got in a small accident with the car....Not with anyone...with a telephone pole....yeah smart right? I was backing up out of the drive way and we were being disobedient and my trainee didn't back me up and I didn't back into the Drive way like I was supposed to and I dented the and driver side car door and scratched pretty bad. We don't have to pay for as far as we know of yet cause I am doing all the insurance stuff and he told me that I am not allowed to drive for a little bit because I was disobedient. "Its an expensive way to learn Elder but I hope you have learned yer lesson!" is what president told me on the phone. So I feel like dirt like I should so oh well.
That literally was my week, the 4th was pretty good we spent time with the trimms (a recent convert family) and we had a blast!
I don't have much to say because I feel like crap but life moves on!

Believe in Yourself - Jul 14th

Dear those who I care about and think about daily,
This past week has been an amazing week! So much has happened it has made literally so full of joy, I cannot express in words the least I feel.
This week we did not have very many lessons we taught. We taught a total of 2 lessons. 1 with Syd Trimm (Investigator) and to her parents Debbie and Tracey Trimm ( Recent Converts) Which is as always a grand ol' time! Especially since all of them have come a very very long way since the day the Church had entered into their lives. We sadly had a ton of people to see and other appointments that did not even go through. We have done a lot of finding since Elder Maxwell (My son/Trainee) Which means a lot of phone calls, visiting, and tracting. Which has been good for the both of us to get out and know the area a little better and to see more opprotunites that can lie ahead for those who are "searching to know the truth, but don't know where to find it."
Here is the spin on all of this! This week is what I consider a great and marvelous week because I have been blessed to progress and move forward with faith Mentally and Emotionally with all things. I have been doing my best this week (with the Help of my blessed compaion and the Lord) to not dwel on the negitive, sad, and unecessary things that was surrounding me for not just the last year and a half, but for the Last 19 years of my life. The little nick, picky things that I skipped over as I have come on a mission that I thought to myself, "Those aren't a big deal! They will go away on its own." When they didn't. my mind set is a new when it comes to "JUST DOING IT!" and not worrying about the many out comes that stop me from doing things that I am totally capable of doing. It has not only made me happier, but it has fully made me trust in the Lord more and act upon my faith as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. I feel happy, my mind is more clear, I don't feel worried about things that I shouldn't! and I know that it is a true blessing from God as he has helped me get to this point by putting people and opportunities in my path to help me continue forward doing what he would have me do.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ is a true Gospel of change. Change menatly, emotionally, and spiritually for the better!  The Lord designed this gospel for us to become the best of who we can become! And he is willing to hlep us and guide us all along the way if we let him and "Just Do It!" It will help us in ways that we can even imagine they will help. All you got to do is:
"Believe in Yourself, Trust in the Lord, Knowing that he did all of this for you!"
I love you all and hope that as you pray, read, attend church where ever that may be, that the Lord will help you, guide you, and bless you. I also hope and pray that you will allow him to do so, allow him to help you, change you, and have you become who he designed you to become from the beginning! That is what he has done and is continually doing for me each and every day! I hope that you too can one day do the same.

Dream Big, Work Hard, and Stay Humble.- Jul 28th

Dear all you amazing peoples!
This week has been a kind of a dull week for Elder Maxwell and I. We had 2 major meetings this week that took 2 days out of this week for us to go out and work. I will explain how those days went:
WEDNESDAY:
On wednesday's we have district meeting at 1:00 and we are asked to be there by 12:30 so we have to leave Massena with the other Elders at noon so that we can be in Potsdam by 12:30. District Meeting goes from 1:00-2:30 and then we have to clean up so in all reality we don't leave until 3. this week however we didn't leave at all because we had to go down in the Zone Leaders Truck to Utica (Mission Home) to stay the night because we had whats called return and report for all trainers and trainees on thursday in the morning. So after District meeting we have to wait for the Zone Leaders to come and meet us at the Chapel as well as the Platsburg sisters who are doing down with us in the Truck. Once they all got here and we left, it was about 5:00pm we were told to be in Utica By 8:45. On the way we had to stop for some dinner at subway and we had to pick up another set of elders in Carthage and we got lost cause the mission office gave us the wrong address to their appartment so we didn't get to Utica until 9:45pm.
THURSDAY:
The Next morning we had to be out of the Mission Home by 8am and be over at the chapel to help set up for the meeting. the meeting started at 9am and ended at 4pm. Talk about a long day! We then had to travel all the way back to Carthage to drop off the Carthage Elders which took 2 hours and then to Potsdam which took an hour and a half and then back to Massena which was another 30 min. and we got home to our appartment at 9:30
That is the only epic thing that happened this week on my end haha but I do have pictures to send you all! I am finally on a computer that will let me use my flash drive! :D
I love you all and hope you have a safe, blessed week this week :)

What do you do in the Summertime? Jul 21st

Dear you folks out there that I love so much!
This week has been a good week! We picked up 3 new investigators and was able to see some miracles happen this week to most of the Branch Members and those who are soon hopefully going to be Branch members as they went on a trip this last weekend with the Senior Couple to the Hill Cumora pagnet and went to the different church sites in Palmyra! I will not mention names or in detail the experiences for they are special to those whom it happened to.
All I am going to say is that all who went on that trip this last weekend came back and had their entire countance change. They came back uplifted, happy, excited, closer to one another and closer to our Savior Jesus Christ. I have seen a lot of these people take big steps forward in things that before they told us and others they would never ever do! And yet after this weekend when they had some amazing experiences with one another and with the Holy Ghost, they were able to over come their fears and trust in God! It makes me over joyed to know that Miracles to happen, and prayers are definatly answered and God still does care and love you! I have seen it many times through out my mission, but I have never seen it happen like this where it has effected so many people in so many different ways. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored by God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ personally along with their heavenly messangers who restored those sacred and eternal priesthood keys and powers to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith to help prepare and build the Lords kingdom in these last days before teh 2nd coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. I love him and this gospel so much words and emotions cannot describe what I feel. Not to the least degree.
Keep the faith, stay strong, trust in the Lord your God, and he will bless you and answer your prayers! and I promise that it will be on his time and it will be worth the wait. ever single second of it. I do say this in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, the Savior and Reedeemer of the World, Amen.
P.S sorry no pictures.... the computers that let us send pictures are still off getting fixed :P

Come What May and Love IT!

Dear Family and Friends,
This last week we got transfer calls and Elder Neus is leaving Massena and I am staying and going to be Training a new missionary for my very first time. Last time I did what is called second transfer training and that was easy cause he already knew what to do I just kinda smoothed the edges I guess. haha I am super excited to train and what will happen this next transfer.
Nothing exciting has happened this last week really.  I have had the feeling of crying this last week or so randomly with no reason to cry at all. I thought it was just me being just weird and my companion told me I was on my period -.- lol but I got onto my email today after emailing president and looked at all the people that had emailed me. As I was looking through the emails, I usually look at/email the person I haven't emailed in a while first or who ever I feel like I should write first. I felt super strongly to read my mom's email first. She has sent me 2 emails, on wednesday and one last night (sunday) I felt super prompted to read the one from wednesday first and then the one from last night. As I read I tried really hard to not cry while sitting here in the Library, and then when I read her other one, I had to try even harder. I don't want to go into detail about anything cause it is personal to me and my family. I will only say that Satan is doing his absolute best to try and stop me and others from doing what we are supposed to do as a missionary and as a member of his church.
As I sat there pondering in my mind what I was going to say to my mom in response to these emails, words started coming into my mind and with out taking a second thought, I just started typing. As I re read what I had typed, hope peace and comfort came into my heart. I felt really strong that I should share in this email to all of you what was written, I do not know why but maybe it will help some of you who are going through a hard time or it may help you for a future incident that may occur.
Here is what I wrote:
Trials do not come from the Lord, they come because of our fallen state and because of Satan and his followers. The Lord uses these opportunities to help us strengthen our faith and trust in him and his son Jesus Christ. That does not mean these trials will be easy to deal with, it just means that in the end, there is light in the midst of this dark tunnel which we have entered into. The Light will always be there weather we see it or not. But it is up to us whether we work towards the light and push through the darkness, or if we stay and give up or even worse turn around and go back the way we came instead of pushing forward.
These are the last days and it was for told by prophets of old that in the last days trials and hardships would come before the Lord shall come again. They did say it was a sign that the Lord is coming, which is the most amazing news we can share with the world. I knew coming on a mission and doing the Lords work was not only going to be physically hard, but was going to be mentally and emotionally hard as well. I have been blessed to over come most of the physical hardships that come with being a 19 almost 20 year old missionary but the mental and emotional stress, and hardships are still there, and are stronger than ever before. I knew that things would happen not only to me but to family and friends back home. I knew it was a risk and I continually know it is still a risk. But it truly is not a risk, it is an act upon our faith that the Lord will bless us for doing his work, helping others come closer to him as we also grow closer to him as we endure these hard trials which have come upon us and will continually come upon us until the Savior comes again in these last days. As I read in a talk entitled "The Fourth Missionary" It says, " Life is hard, but the Gospel is not." Through the gospel and the Atonement of Jesus Christ we all can endure anything that the world and Satan can and will throw at us. But is our choice on what we do when those kinds of trials enter our lives. You can either stand there and be continually attacked and not do anything, or you can put your faith and trust in the Lord, and do all you can to fight knowing that you are not fighting alone. Knowing that the Lord is standing by you fighting with you and has previously fought for you with all his might so. These things I know and have to constantly remind myself of every single day since the day I got my mission call and accepted the call to do the Lords work. Trust in Him, rely on Him, have faith in Him, and then Act on that faith and you will see Miracles happen both big and small. This I know and can testify of in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Don't Be DUMB Dora - Dennis Elliott

Dear Family and Friends,

This Email is going to be short with no pictures because when we got to the Library Every one was able to get on a computer except for me....so now that I am no I do not have much time to write what I would like to say.
This week was great! I love being a trainer I enjoy more than anything! I got a tad bit of heat stroke from walking around the other day so I am slowly recovering form that. Other than that I am doing pretty well. I am a little down and super tired recently and I don't know why by body is being dumb. But it is what it is and I gotta do what I gotta do! Again I am sorry that this email is super short and lame but I have no choice this week.

I'd rather be Disobedient then get wet!

Dear all you peoples that I love so much!

This week was pretty good! SO, I have decided that all the titles of my lettters (emails) home will be quotes that have been said that week! So the title of this email came from the other set of elders we serve with named Elder (Cody) Davis who goes home at the end of this transfer (less than 2 weeks). We were coming out of district meeting and it was pooring like you wouldn't believe! So we got in the car and we aren't supposed to make U Turns in the cars any more unless its in a parking lot and when you are backing up you companion is supposed to get out and back you up, so he did a turn (in a the church parking lot and went on the grass) and said the title of this letter haha

So tranfer calls are this week! It should be exciting! They are Saturday Morning and I have a strong feeling that President is going to call one of us on saturday. President makes all the calls for those getting put into leadership personally before actual transfer calls from president happens. so we shall see! We had the carpet in our church re done this last week and met the guy and his crew that were working on it. HE IS FROM LAYTON UTAH! He lives back behind the mall by the Subway and is in the stake just next to us! 0.0 It was so sweet! I got a picture next to his truck haha he travels all over the US to do carpet for office buildings, homes, church buildings and he does carpet for inside the temples too! He was in Seattle Washington 4 week prior to being here and doing the carpet. it was so sweet!

We also went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders this weekend. (I don't know why but we did) and so I went to Potsdam from satruday to sunday and Elder Koga and I found this cat sticker on the back of someones car in the parking lot of the lady we were seeing and we both saw it and busted a gut! and had to take a picture so you all are welcome :) haha

Other than that we picked up a sweet new investigator this week she is awesome and will have a baptismal date soon! Good things are happening to those who wait!

Have good week y'all! :D
