Holidays

Dear Mom and the World!

I am so glad that Ben got his hairs cut! Now he doesn't look like a bum! haha It was so awesome skyping with you all and David and Linda, it was pretty much like I never even left home or in fact it only felt like I was only gone for a little bit and not for a year. Yup it is super crazy that next month on the 23rd I will have hit 1 year out on my mission! 0.0 It is such a weird feeling! -.- haha I wanna thank you all for the Christmas cards you sent me and the gifts that were sent to me! Speaking of, I got a very interesting present from my best buddy, Elder Dan "The Man" Saunders in the mail and as you can see from the picture attached to this letter, I want to know what kind of looks he got at the post office, and what the mission office thought when they saw what they had to forward to me. haha Pretty creative! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas this last week! I love Christmas each and every year! I love seeing people express their love for one another and express their love for the Savior who's birth we celebrated this last week. For if it wasn't for his coming to the earth, we would not be able to be forgiven for our sins, and would be able to have a resurrected body and return to live with our Heavenly Father! Heavenly Father gave us the greatest gifts anyone could give us, Our Agency, and His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ who bore all our pains, afflictions, struggles, and fears, for us; and that was his gift to us because he loves us so much and wants to help us and is always willing to help us. One thing we did at a members home this Christmas, was put on a Nativity Play with everyone. We had the Bishops wife read the scriptures and be the narrator, Her Son Quinn, was the Inn keeper, Bro. Pletcher (member) was the other animals in the manger, the Ward Mission Leader (Bro. Cox) be Joseph, his wife Sis. Cox was Mary, Sister Stewart (Missionary) was baby Jesus, her Companion Sister Stimpson was a sheep, my companion, Elder Cosman was the Shepard, Elders Barton, Wing, and myself were the 3 wise men who came from afar to bear gifts to the son of God who was born in Bethlehem. (See Pictures) This is how we ended our evening on Christmas night, after we were done with that, we all sat around in a circle and sand Christmas Carols for a while before watching a church movie. That brought such an amazing spirit into the room that everyone I hope was felt as I did. I love the Savior with all my Heart and my Father in Heaven who gave us his only Son so that we can one day, return to him and become like him. I hope you all can remember the feelings of the spirit of chirstmas and that you will strive to be able to continually feel that way all year round and not just 1 day a year. For the Spirit of Christmas (take away the mas at the end) is the Spirit of Christ.

I love you all and hope and pray that the Lord will continually bless you and your families through out the year and this upcoming year. Always remember never to be like lots wife and look back on the past, Always, look forward with faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that he is there beside you all the way at you push forward in the new, upcoming year.

Love,
Elder Zenger
