Land Ho!

Dear yous guys,
This last week has been slow because people were taking off for Memorial Weekend, (Which i hope you all had a great memorial day!) which was ok cause we got some opportunities to do some other things and help me get to know our area up here in good ol' Massena !
We first got to go to the Ship locks and watch a ship come through! that was pretty freakin sweet! I took pictures and videos! we also saw a goose with her goslings sitting in one of the flower pots they had outside the gift shop. It was awesome! haha We also got to go to a part of our area called Waddington and I got to take a picture of Canada from across the water! haha It was sweet! I absolutly love it up here in Massena and in the North Country!
We had Zone Training Meeting this last week and President Wirthlin cam up to me to shake my hand and said, " Elder Zenger! You have now adopted the North Country!" (with a big grin on his face) My companion and I looked at one another in confusion and said, "What is that even supposed to mean?!?" haha Good ol' President Wirthlin! Other than that, things are great and we are excited to see what comes up this week! There is never a boring moment when doing the Lords work, if it is, it means you are not working hard enough!
Love Ya's!

The Narth Country!

Dear all you people I love so much and so dearly!
This last week being up here in the north country has been an amazing experience! I absolutely love being here up in the north and the people here are so freakin awesome and open to learn and accept the Gospel!
This last Saturday (the first couple days I have been here) I got to help participate in my first ever baptism on my mission! His name is Tracey and he and his family are freakin amazing! His wife got baptized a couple weeks ago and his daughter is going to be baptized next month! It is so cool to be able to be blessed to be here at this time to help these people come into the Gospel and see how it has truly changed them and blessed their lives! I also got to help confirm him a member on Sunday and that was a sweet experience as well!
Other than that.... My new Companion Elder Neus is awesome! He and I get along great! (see pictures for proof haha ) and it is just a freakin spiritual party up here! I have always been told, when  you get sent up to the Narth Country, you are up there for a very long time and don't move from the up north until who knows when haha Other than that, I miss yas all of you reading this from Syracuse, Greenwich, and Owego Areas! I do have some pictures I took from when I left and when I got here! SO here are some pics for all ya'll to browse through!

Dear All Y'alls!

This weekend was Mothers day! I hope you all did something nice for yer moms and the women in your lives! If not, you should go repent and do that :) haha Anyways! We got Transfer Calls this weekend and My family got the sneak peak preview of what is going down! haha So I won't tell any of you......NOT!

SO I am actually getting transfered up to Massena, New York! That is up by the Canadian Boarder for those of you who don't know where that is :) I am as close to Canada as I can get without walking over the boarder. haha I leave Wednesday morning and will be pretty much gone the entire day driving and doing what not. I will be a half car, half walk/bike area! Which is gunna be sweet.

This last week has been a pretty good week, We set up some sweet appointments with some people for this upcoming week that I now don't get to go to, haha This email is gunna be pretty short, but there is going to be a TON of pictures that I have taken the last few weeks so that way it kinda makes up for it all haha!

I love yous guys and I hope and pray that you all will be awesome and that you will all be safe!

Sorry Gwegs!

Dear All Ya'lls
So as you noticed last week I did not send home any pictures last week.....and I did not send home an email either....last week was a crazy week... in fact...I am in Syracuse new york...everything and ere'one is crazy here. ha-ha
So this last week has been a slow week working wise for us. A member got sick (like we swear he has the flu or something.) Next thing we know, Elder Johnson from the Southside got sick on exchanges with some other Elders, then during that exchange his companion and I at coralation both realized that we were sick as well with soar throat, cough, runny/stuffy nose, and dizziness with some fatigue. Yeah it really sucked... We did at least, with in the 2 days I was fully sick, taught 2 lessons :D The res of teh day was spent in bed cause that was about as much as my body could do haha yes I know I am bad and I am working on it! I don't like being stuck in that lame apartment sleeping all day! ITS STUPID!...anyways... I sadly do not have pictures this week either...but hopefully next week...I need to start getting my game back on for taking pictures....I think it is because I have already been in this war once before...so nothing phases me anymore ha-ha
Transfers is coming up this next week! (like in a week not this coming week) and we get phone calls on Saturday! Mothers day is Sunday! I get to call home (which I have no idea when that will freakin happen that day...) ok, I have complained enough... haha
SO I bet you all wondering what the title means.... it means "sorry Greg" which has a story behind it. Long story short, Elder Atwood (on the southside) created this split personality called "Daniel" (those of you who are named that I.E Dan the man, please do not get offended... remember I am in upstate new york in Syracuse...there are a lot of these kind of people who have the same name) who is a mentally retarded kid who has a friend or Guardian named Greg. The reason his name is Daniel is because through out his mission (half his mission being in Syracuse where there was a kid like this with that name) the majority of the people he has met with mental disabilities have had the name Daniel. SO hence the title of the email :) the stuff you pick up on your mission.... haha
I loves yous guys and I hope to hear from ya next week!
Love,
Elder Anthony Zang Dangler

No time for mass email

Goodbyes and Stress

Dear all of you,

This last week has been (as the title says) a week of Good byes and some little emotional, and mental stress.

So this past week, Mama Vest, her husband Gary, and their son Daniel moved from the Southside of Syracuse to PA for Gary's work and for mama vest to start school. It will defiantly be not the same here with the Vest family gone, but the Lord has truly blessed them for their efforts in both the gospel and for the missionary work over the past few years.

So, now on to real quick before I have to get off the computer, for why I am stressed mentally and emotionally. So, every since I have arrived here in the Northside of Syracuse, Our teaching pool within the first few weeks started decreasing a ton. Nothing that I have done or did, it was the lack of commitment/lack in interest for learning more to the gospel. My companion and I (elder Jackson) have both agreed that these people where more converted to the previous elder than to the message he had to share. Up until today we have dropped over 15 people from our teaching pool and are down to about 5 investigators that we try and teach on a regular basis with only 2-3 of them fully wanting to learn and we are able to meet with currently. Now, for me this has been a reoccurring thing since I have been on my mission. Every area I have been into, except for southside cause we started out with no one, I have come into an are where they are teaching a lot of people and then within a few weeks, people just stop meeting with us and or don't want to learn any more. Sadly president has noticed that recently with in the last transfer and is constantly on my back about how low our numbers are, making sure we are out doing work and tracting, visiting members, and what not.

SO I have come to a delema that I am either a super bad missionary, and I suck at doing missionary work, or people just don't have faith in me and my companion to find people. It has been truly hard to keep up a good spirit when every week president or your zone leaders are on ya for low numbers when they used to be so high.

Ok, that is enough of the "Poor pitty me" Party, Other than that this week has truly been good, we have had a lot of spiritual lessons that we got to teach to a lot of people (mostly members and less actives) and I am excited for this week as we go and try and find new people to help them come closer to christ!
